This is your time to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to identify objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that appears like an toy, not an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ swiftly removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand that other robots aren't able to do. And it did all of this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.
Although it's not as smart as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent option for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. These bots also have a variety of extra features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more expensive features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice for those who are willing to compromise to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums aren't able to meet. auto vacuum Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls or in corners.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas, modify your home map or re-label the rooms.
If you select the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place emptying the bin is done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't essential for most people but it can help to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and features are some of the best on the market however, it's also expensive.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The station's main selling point is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does a good job picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's not able to climb stairs as well as competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that allows the user to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price tag.
However, if you're looking to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of alternatives on the market which include a variety of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive, but offers more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors carpets with low pile as well as high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, simply attach one of the side brush, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The way that the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable items in its path. It keeps track of the items it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it needs to recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has the same battery life and performs better on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that does not require as much emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and it's less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
